A proposal and vision born! (Or, a case of still birth?)

This morning, I finished the first draft of a summary proposal to the National Clergy Renewal Program of the Lilly Endowment Inc. As advised by our Senior Pastor (Larry Fryling), I will submit this to the church Elders for their review and decision. If approved, I will then complete and submit the proposal with prior approval by our church Council and in consultation with the Executive Team of the SEAPI CRCs. Deadline for submission is May 14, 2009 and grant recipients notified in October 2009.

    Last Sunday March 29th, I have withdrawn this summary proposal and my request to the Elders of my church. Reason: I received a clarification from the Lilly Endowment's National Clergy Renewal Program that I'm not eligible to apply for the grant since I don't hold a M. Div. degree. I told my church's Elders, and you who I've invited to join this blog that I will now end pursuing any kind of worship renewal activity on behalf of SEAPI. You may or may not respond to this post.
